Renewable Energy As an Alternative Energy Source

2 min read

As the world population increasing rapidly there is a greater demand for energy. It is estimated that the world population has doubled over the last 50 years. This as led to a greater demand on or energy supply causing a shortfall. With our excessive reliance on petroleum and gas, supplies are dwindling at a fast rate and in danger of completely running out in the near future. This has made a lot of people to start using renewable energy as an alternative energy source.

Its use is not new as people have used them for different purposes for numerous reasons for thousands of years. There quite a number of different types of renewable energy, such as solar, wind, water, biomass and geothermal energy. With the high cost of conventional power sources a lot of people are now looking at new ways to power their homes and vehicles.

One of the main advantages of using renewable energy as an alternative energy source over fossil fuel is the fact it’s found in nature and there is no danger of it ever running out. It’s also clean and leaves no harmful effect on the environment when used. This is very important in our age as climate change is wreaking havoc on our environment through the continual use of fossil fuel. To clean up the environment we need to go back to natural energy sources to eliminate the pollution.

To end our reliance on fossil fuels we will have to develop your own renewable energy sources as an alternative. We will be able to save money by lowering our power and energy cost while protecting or environment. With a green lifestyle we will be able to protect our planet. Studies have shown that 90% of the world electricity is still using pollutants like coal and nuclear power. Coal power plant is one of the biggest emitter of carbon dioxide trapping greenhouse gas and causing global warming. There are also a lot of different health risk regarding coal such as asthma and other chest infections.

One of the concerns that a lot of people have is about the initial cost to set up. This is due to the fact that we will have to purchase material’s to set up your systems.
